What Is mHBOT?

mHBOT, or mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy, is a noninvasive treatment that uses high ambient pressure to push oxygen into the parts of the body that the circulatory system can’t easily reach. The added oxygen revitalizes the body and helps heal damaged tissue.

Natural Healing

mHBOT is a natural remedy for a wide variety of ailments and illnesses. It can help alleviate mental or cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s or dementia, anxiety, depression, autism, and more. But that isn’t all. mHBOT is also used for Lyme disease, autoimmune diseases, strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and more. If you or a loved one are looking for a solution free of chemicals you can’t pronounce or medications with side effects worse than the problem, mHBOT is for you. Curious about how mHBOT works? Read on to find out.

Background on Oxygen & Blood

mHBOT is all about breathing. When we breathe, oxygen from the air travels through our lungs and into our bloodstream. From there, most of it binds to red blood cells which take that oxygen all around our body and drop it off wherever we need it. And the rest? About 0.3 ml per 100 ml is absorbed into our blood plasma, the liquid part of blood that makes up about 55% of the blood in our body. The plasma can get to places that even red blood cells are too big to reach, and it brings the oxygen it absorbed with it. In other words, the more oxygen your blood plasma has, the more oxygen gets to places that don’t normally get any.

How mHBOT Helps You

Mild hyperbaric chambers raise the air pressure within them to about 1.3 to 1.5 times the pressure outside of them. That pushes more oxygen into your lungs, into your blood, and into your plasma. Your blood will have much more oxygen to distribute throughout your body, saturating damaged tissues with oxygen to aid in the healing process and increasing blood flow to the brain. The plasma will further travel to the places that your blood cells can’t reach, and provide ample oxygen to places that don’t normally get enough. mHBOT will revitalize your whole body as essential oxygen makes its way throughout and helps your body repair tissue, cleanse itself of harmful microbes, and stimulate white blood cell response to fight off infection.

The Science Involved

mHBOT works through an application of three laws of physics: Henry’s law, Boyle’s law, and Charles’ law. You can click on the scientists’ portraits for more details, but in summary, Henry’s law states that when pressure goes up, the ability for a gas to dissolve into a liquid also goes up. This means that oxygen has an easier time dissolving into your blood at higher pressure in a chamber. Boyle’s law states that the number of oxygen molecules in a given volume are proportional to pressure. So when you are in a higher pressure chamber, the amount of oxygen within the volume is higher as well. Finally, Charles’ law states that the volume of a mass of gas is proportional to temperature at a constant pressure, so when the temperature goes up in a hyperbaric chamber, so does the volume of available oxygen.

Charles’ Law: =V1/T1 = V2/T2

Charles’ law states that the volume of a mass of a gas is proportional to the temperature if pressure is constant. When you get in a chamber at a given pressure, the temperature rises, and when it does, the volume of oxygen rises with it.

Henry’s Law: C = kP

Henry’s law states that the solubility of a gas (in this case, oxygen) into a liquid (the plasma) is directly proportional to the pressure. When you raise the pressure, solubility, or the ability for the gas to dissolve in liquid, goes up. Therefore, when you are in a hyperbaric chamber, as the pressure of the air around you goes up, oxygen has an easier time dissolving into your plasma, which allows it to spread healing further throughout your body.

Boyle’s Law: PV = k

Henry’s law states that the solubility of a gas (in this case, oxygen) into a liquid (the plasma) is directly proportional to the pressure. When you raise the pressure, solubility, or the ability for the gas to dissolve in liquid, goes up. Therefore, when you are in a hyperbaric chamber, as the pressure of the air around you goes up, oxygen has an easier time dissolving into your plasma, which allows it to spread healing further throughout your body.
